Family Promise Giving Day - Setting Up A Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser

Updated: Apr 20, 2022

On April 28, 2022 Family Promise of the South Bay will participate in a giving day with Family Promise National and affiliates across the country. This online event will raise awareness and funds for Family Promise programs! You can get involved by starting a fundraising page and sharing with your network.

Below are the steps for setting up your own page in support of our Giving Day Fundraiser.

Donations will open on April 28th!

Step 1: Visit the Family Promise of the South Bay Giving Day profile

Visit the link to get to our homepage: https://www.fpgives.org/organizations/family-promise-of-the-south-bay. Once the page loads, click on the blue Fundraise button.

Step 2: Fill out some basic contact information

After clicking on the fundraise button, a signup box will pop up. Fill out your first and last name, email and password and hit submit when you are done.

Step 3: Manage and edit your peer-to-peer fundraiser page

After clicking submit, a page will show up confirming your sign up. You will also be prompted to manage and edit your peer-to-peer profile. Click on the blue “Manage Profile” button.

Step 4: Log in to your GiveGab account

You may be prompted to log in to your account, use the same email address and password you used when creating your fundraiser in Step 2.

Step 5: Personalize your story

Within the first tab of your peer-to-peer (P2P) Fundraising Dashboard, you can tell the story of why you are a P2P fundraiser for Family Promise of the South Bay! This is a great section to share your personal story about your connection to Family Promise, set a goal, and upload a custom image.

Step 6: Make a Donation

Within the second tab, you can add a seed donation. This will show other donors you’re committed to the campaign! Note that this option won’t be available until early donations open on April 14th!

Step 7: Reach out

In the third tab, you can send personalized emails to your friends and family asking for donations. You can also upload your contacts from Gmail or Yahoo Mail and can send emails directly through your portal.

Step 8: Share Socially

You can share your fundraiser page on Facebook, Twitter, or other Social Media sites with a direct link that appears under this tab.

Happy fundraising!
