Because of your generosity, 429 individuals have received shelter, meals, hotel stays, or other supportive services in the past year through our shelter, prevention/diversion and stabilization programs. With your help, we are working with families to help them regain stability and get back into their own home. For that, we thank you!
But there are still many more families in our community who need help. We've seen families struggling to pay rent and families finding it difficult to find affordable housing. Because of these needs, we are focusing our growth and services on providing resources further upstream to help families before they face losing their homes. Our goal in this process is to break the cycle of poverty and instability that has impacted so many families in the South Bay.
With so few resources available for these vulnerable families, we need your help. .
One great way to help spread the word is by starting your own peer to peer campaign by following the steps below.
Step 1: Visit the Family Promise of the South Bay Giving Day profile
Visit the link to get to our homepage: www.familypromiseosb.org/community. Once the page loads, click on the blue Fundraise button.
Step 2: Fill out some basic contact information
After clicking on the fundraise button, a signup box will pop up. Fill out your first and last name, email and password and hit submit when you are done.
Step 3: Confirm your email
After clicking submit, a page will show up asking you to confirm your email address. Go to your email and open the email from GiveLively to confirm your account. The link will direct you to the login page. Fill out the email and password you just signed up with.
Step 4: Personalize your page
Within the first tab of your peer-to-peer (P2P) Fundraising Dashboard, you can tell the story of why you are a P2P fundraiser for Family Promise of the South Bay! This is a great section to share your personal story about your connection to Family Promise, set a goal, and upload a custom image. Click Save.
Step 5: Make a Donation and Share
Now that your page is live, you can make a donation to show other donors you’re committed to the campaign! You can also share directly to social media or copy the link to send by email and text.
