Palos Verdes Resale Thrift Shop is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation of
volunteers with the purpose of collecting and selling donated articles in a thrift shop,
in order to generate funds for distribution to local organizations that are engaged
in a variety of charitable missions for the benefit and improvement of society.
Family Promise of the South Bay has been fortunate enough to be selected as a
Beneficiary to receive quarterly funds based on compensated volunteer hours,
donated specifically to our program. The amount we receive is based on the number
of volunteer hours that are provided on behalf of Family Promise of the South Bay,
which often ranges from $14-18 per hour of service.
If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity and how to begin the
volunteering/training process, please contact:

As a part of an effort to increase exposure and awareness to the mission of Family Promise, we’ve received a $30,000 grant from Google and have partnered with the M-School at Loyola Marymount University.
This exciting collaboration allows us access to a six-member team comprised of a select group of LMU Marketing students, who will work to generate interest and overall website traffic, with the goal of expanding our volunteer and donor base.
Much of this is accomplished through strategic purchasing and placement of advertisements via Google’s AdWords format.
